MY NAME IS...
I am also a language learner. I always like to learn other languages because it connects me to my family and loved ones who speak another languages. It also open the gates of opportunities for me in terms of career and business. Learning another language makes me feel more confident in travelling to the place of my target language and appreciate their culture and traditions. And that leads me to enroll in an Offline Tutorial Center. I also bought a book and feel excited on the first day of class hoping that this is the start of acquiring new language skills.
However, After 3 sessions, I realized the inconvenience of attending class offline. Also the importance of a good method of teaching style.
I am working full-time and the available schedule of class does not suit my schedule. Also, the place of tutorial session is a bit far from my place. Time is precious to me, I don’t want to spent 4 hours just to travel going back and forth to Tutorial Center. Also, the teaching style they provide does not suit my ability as an Absolute Adult Learner. The lesson is so fast, I cannot cope up with the lessons which makes me feel frustrated and about to give up learning my target language.
I actually did not finish the course. Therefore, I wasted a good tutorial fee for 10 sessions.
Until one day, while watching YouTube channel, I encounter a video lesson that suit my needs as a learner of my target language. And I decided to enroll with that online class.
I really appreciate everything about it.
One, because I can watch the video lesson, whenever I am available and no pressure of time in attending the class. Two, The available courses to choose from suits my need as a learner. I know because they provide free trial course first which help the learners like me to decide if I will continue to enroll on a paid courses or not. Three, the teacher is always available to answer all my questions related to the target language I am learning. Lastly, I loved the teaching styles, I felt that the course is really designed for my needs as a learner.
Finally, things are getting clearer why I’m struggling through the years and why I feel like I’m having a hard time learning my target language.
Aside from being a learner, I am also a Professional Teacher, Therefore, I realized why not share my experience as a language learner to all Tagalog learners out there using the teaching style I gained for 8 years of teaching Tagalog language to Non-Tagalog speakers. As a learner, I understand the feeling, struggle and challenges of learning other languages which made my teaching style more compassionate. Also, those experiences as a learner improve the way I teach Non-Tagalog speakers. And my experience as a teacher develop a teaching strategy that suits the needs of my students.
A lot of students always ask me this, “When will I learn Tagalog language?”
and my answer is always like this, “I cannot give you time-frame in learning Tagalog because Learning any target language always depend on the ability of the learner, time you want to commit in learning the language and how much effort are you willing to give in learning it.”
But what I can guarantee you is that as your teacher, I am always here to support your learning journey of Tagalog language. I will make sure that I will make learning Tagalog language for you easy to understand which will make you more interested as you go to a higher level of learning, I will provide the tools you need that will help you in learning Tagalog accurately at a conversational level. And that all your efforts will not go in vain and get an amazing result you wanted.
You can do it,
Coach Mabel

Si ma'am Mabel yung tipong adviser na gusto mo hangadin sa buhay mo. Hindi lang teacher o adviser, isa rin siyang nanay, kapatid at kaibigan, siya yung teacher na mapagsasabihan mo ng mga hinanakit mo kasi makikita mo ang sinseridad sa pakikinig niya sayo. Sa teaching strategy niya. Hindi siya mahigpit pero madidisiplina ka, ikaw ang susunod ng kusa sa kanya.

"I recently sat down to go through some Tagalog learning material from Mabel and was impressed by the easy to follow content and the attention to detail. For a beginner level like myself, this content is perfect as it combines visual and textual learning cues to assist with my development. On top of that, Mabel is always accessible through various social media platforms and many of us get to engage with her through WhatsApp and Facebook to ask questions, banter about lifestyles and weave in some Tagalog learning along the way. I recommend those that are keen to learn Tagalog to try out her lessons and content."
